Sr. Test/QA Engineer

Axxcelera Broadband Wireless is seeking a Sr. Test/QA Engineer to conduct software quality assurance activities, focused on test, validation, release and control. This position is in the Richmond, VA facility.

Responsibilities:

Conduct software validation and test efforts in line with product development timelines.
Responsible for executing test activities for a specific project.
Update progress on testing via QA team meetings and/or status reports.
Communicate resource and training needs to supervisor.
Ensure production of thorough documented results for design and test activities on active projects.
Develop and write test plans/cases.
Expand and develop automated test routines.
Write QA Test reports with input from team.
Provide debugging assistance in lab.
Provide input toward more effective and efficient development and test practices.
Test automation implementation.
Contribute to enhancing and refining the companies QA best practices.
Utilize all available means to effectively communicate results to management, ensuring the message is concise, complete and appropriate to the audience.
Utilize defect database and provide technical support for the overall product as required and assigned.
Maintain product awareness.
Keep informed of product changes and functional specifications.

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in a technical discipline.
Experience with LTE and/or other 3G/4G technology based products.
Working knowledge of writing automated tests with a commercial QA automation tool.
Experience working with or establishing test plans and attest specification templates.
Strong working knowledge of product verification methodologies and proven problem solving skills.
Understanding of product life cycle software/hardware development.
Experience with software development processes, testing tools and GUI automation testing.
In-depth knowledge and expertise with networking standards, practices, tools and techniques.
Wireless technologies and systems architectures (modulation, coding, MAC protocols, RF).
Data communications (Ethernet, IP, CPRI).
Methodologies for large systems integration and test.
Labview based test development.

Experience Required:

5 years + of postgraduate experience in advanced technology development environment.

5 years of SQA experience working in high technology organizations, preferably in a wireless environment.
