ExcelAir® CPE3100

OVERVIEW
The CPE3100 is the customer premise equipment (CPE) for the Axxcelera ExcelAir® fixed wireless access system operating at 3.5 GHz. The CPE consists of three elements: the iCPE (outdoor unit with integrated transceiver, antenna and modem), the indoor Network Interface Adapter, and the power supply module.
The iCPE is easy to install on a rooftop or standard antenna mount, and incorporates a compact, 19 dBi flat-panel antenna for transmitting and receiving the RF signals, a tunable RF transceiver (radio) for performing up and down-conversion of the RF signals, and the integral modulation equipment. Employing the latest in DOCSIS V1.1 traffic shaping technology, the ExcelAir®CPE3100 enables simultaneous support of IP-based voice and video solutions, as well as the delivery of rich IP-based data applications via a standard, full-duplex 10/100Base-T Ethernet port. This package is lightweight and easy to install, and includes a comprehensive installation utility. Ease of installation is further assured through an integral RSSI (Receive Signal Strength Indicator), allowing for visual confirmation of the received signal strength as the unit is positioned and secured, and an automatic gain setting for both upstream and downstream signals.
The Ethernet cable from the iCPE is connected to the Network Interface Adaptor (NIA) at a convenient location inside the customer premises. The supplied power module and connectors on the NIA allow connections to customer computers or local area network equipment. One CPE3100 can thus support many users within a local area network or multiple dwelling/business unit.
